He completed an HND in photography, at Arts University Bournemouth, before enrolling in a further HND, in Digital Design, at the LCC (formerly the LCP) University Of The Arts London. Upon completion he successfully undertook a degree in Digital Design at Guildhall. From there he entered the post-production industry at Locomotion, in London's Soho.
Locomotion serviced some of London's leading advertising agencies. After four fantastic years he moved to The Lab, at Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO. The Lab is the award winning, dedicated, in-house design and post-production facility for AMV. Here he worked on all their major brands, ranging from pitches to live briefs on fully integrated campaigns. Utilising a variety of skills; including art directing, digital design, motion graphics, editing, compositing, filming, photography and retouching. For the past two years Gilles headed up the award winning Digital Design department for FCB/inferno. Here he helped integrate design process across the agency resulting in FCB Inferno being awarded Integrated Agency of the Year 2016 at the Campaign Big Awards plus a Cannes Lion.
Gilles now freelances as an Integrated Creative & Design Director, working at some of London's most established agencies. Including VCCP, St Lukes, Leagas Delaney and 23 Red.
